Led Zeppelin will appear on David Letterman

That is right; Led Zeppelin will appear on David Letterman on Monday night. Fresh off their appearance at the 2012 Kennedy Center honors event, Led Zeppelin will appear on David Letterman Monday December 3, 2012. Hopefully, they will announce a tour at last but don't hold your breath because in the arena of entertainment publicity they are both cagey and clever. Look for David to ask the questions that would make most squirm in their seat while the soft spoken Jimmy Page will more than likely tantalize us with current events and historical reflections.

In addition, don't look for the band to perform as another musical guest is scheduled to appear - I hope this other act uses this organic publicity to their advantage as I am certain the amount of people tuning in will be copious at the least.

Led Zeppelin (John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant) received their honors along with Buddy Guy, Dustin Hoffman, David Letterman and Natalia Makarova.

Imelda May - Back to work!

Got to go got to go got to go................

....back to work for Mrs. Higham otherwise known as Imelda May. Just a couple of months, if even that much, have passed and Imelda is back working towards her own Grammy award and appearing at the London Jazz Festival. Oooh, and looks like she is finally getting proper status as a headlining act. Yes sirreee!

The London Jazz festival is produced by Serious in association with BBC Radio 3. The Barbican will be featuring a fantastic line-up of concerts, workshops, free-stages and film series.

On November 9th, Imelda joins Grammy -winning artist Patti Austin and jazz soul diva Julia Roberts to complete a quantum line-up of vocal talent that including Natalie Duncan, Claire Martin, Junior Giscombe, Gwyneth Herbert, Brendan Reilly for the London Jazz Festival signature opening night gala Jazz Voice. Guy Barker will be directing a 40 piece orchestra while actor, writer, and comedian John Sessions will host the evening.

Leslie West returns to rock following partial leg amputation

It's no secret that Diabetes sucks. We all have friends who suffer from this dreaded disease. Well, your friend Leslie West who whether you realize it or not - Has seriously affected the way you play your guitar. Leslie was in the band Mountain; they had a hit called Mississippi Queen, a rancorous tune with huge hooks, that sprung them to the top of the bill board. With this success Mountain toured the world and guess who got a break in to the industry by opening the show for Mountain? ZZ Top, that's right Reverend Billy G and his partners might not be giving us Sharp Dressed men the songs we now have and love. Why, because it all starts somewhere and we all must pay homage to those who pave the way for all musicians.

San Jose Jazz Festival -

The Jazz Festival should be interesting this year. Among the many performers attending this year will be George Clinton.

George Clinton is an American musician and the principal architect of P-Funk. He was the mastermind of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic during the 1970s and early 1980s, and has been a solo funk artist since 1981. He has been called one of the most important innovators of funk music, next to James Brown and Sly Stone. Clinton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 with fifteen other members of Parliament-Funkadelic.

In 1982, Clinton signed to Capitol Records as a solo artist and as the P-Funk All-Stars, releasing Computer Games that same year. Loopzillahit the Top 20 R&B charts, followed by Atomic Dog, which reached #1 R&B, but peaked at #101 on the pop chart. In 1985, he was recruited by the Red Hot Chili Peppers to produce their album Freaky Styley.l. In 1989, Clinton released The Cinderella Theory on Paisley Park, on Prince's record label. This was followed by Hey Man, Smell My Finger. Clinton then signed with Sony 550 and released The Awesome Power of a Fully Operational Mothership in 1996. Clinton founded a record label called The C Kunspyruhzy in 2005.

In 2008, George appeared on the reality show Gone County 3, where seven celebrities moved into a Nashville mansion and competed to cross over into the country music scene. With his Gone Country experience, George wrote his country song; Time Is. In 2008, he also released his solo album George Clinton and His Gangsters of Love.. Largely a covers album, Gangsters featured guest appearances by Sly Stone, El DeBarge, Red Hot Chili Peppers, RZA, Carlos Santana, and gospel singer Kim Burrell.
