Make-A-Wish Ambassador Imelda May is set to release a brand new single, titled ‘Make A Wish’, on November 25th and €0.90 cent from every download will be donated to the charity Make-A-Wish Ireland.
Susan O’Dwyer, Chief Executive of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, says “We are so grateful to our ambassador Imelda May for donating her profits of ‘Make A Wish’ to us, she is once again spreading the message of Make-A-Wish to households all over Ireland while helping us to grant even more magical wishes.
Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children between 3- 18 years living in Ireland with a life threatening medical condition. Their wishes turn fantasy into reality. A wish can provide a positive, often once in a lifetime experience, for the child and its family. The promise of a wish can have a remarkable effect on a sick child and has enormous impact on everyone close to them. A wish gives a child something to look forward to through their many months of treatment.
“I’m a huge supporter of Make-A-Wish. It’s such a positive happy charity, full of wonderful people, who go to great lengths to make special children’s dreams come true right when it matters, and means so much. I was inspired by their stories to write this song. So it seemed right and proper to give it to Make-A-Wish, to raise much needed funds for these wonderful wishes to become a reality. Thank you so much for your invaluable contribution to these wishes” – Imelda May
The single will be available to download from November 25th, with 90cent from each download going towards Make-A-Wish.
